The Chinese team PSG.LGD lifted the trophy today after sweeping their opponent Evil Geniuses at the AniMajor final. Along with the title, they also earned 500 DPC points and the final gift prize of $200,000. The game came close to being competitive only once, when in Round 2 EG dominated for around 40 minutes before losing out once more.
PSG.LGD dominated since game one of the tournament. They earned a top seed and spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs where they defeated Alliance, T1 and Nigma before facing the Evil Geniuses in the finals.
The Evil Geniuses qualified through the lower brackets of the playoffs. Upto four teams lost their chances to qualify directly for the International 10 after being beaten by EG. The teams being, Nigma, NoPing e-sports, TNC and Predator. They also defeated Vici Gaming and T1 on their way to the finals.
This was the second time Evil Geniuses lost to a Chinese team this year, earlier losing out at the ONE E-sports Singapore Major to IG. Both EG and PSG.LGD were qualified as top seeds for The International 10 before the finals took place and will now look forward to compete for the $40 million on offer at Sweden.

The perfect and unmatched execution along with the clockwork co-ordination makes PSG.LGD the rightful victors of the AniMajor. Their amazing and dominant performance in the tournament also make them one of the top contenders for The Internationals.
