We are going to talk about ordinary Anime Girls. The ones who play an ordinary role but still have the tenacity to fight and overcome any obstacles. We are going to discuss some of these characters taken from different anime series.
Misaki Ayuzawa (Kaichou Wa Maid Sama)
Misaki Ayuzawa is the main female character in the famous anime Maid Sama who is sweet, kind and helpful. During her childhood, her father left her, which changes her totally. She no longer trusts men and considers them unreliable and dirty. Because of the debt that her family has, she ends up in a cheap school called “Seika High School”.
But Misaki‘s determination is unlike any other. She works extremely hard with her studies and trains hard with her athletic abilities. Her hard work gains the respect and trust from the schoolteacher and became the Student Council President. She is very kind and helpful to those who are hardworking. She’s very strict towards those unruly boys of Saike and protects the girls from these boys. Because of her harsh behavior towards the unruly boys, they often call her the “Demon Prez” of Saike. Most of the male students hated her harsh behaviour, but over time, they notice her kind spirit. She is fair and willing to help anyone in need, which his made everyone warm up to her. This is one of the main reason she ended up in our list of most relatable Anime Girls that we can find.
She also supports her family by working part time secretly as a maid in a Cosplay restaurant “Maid Latte”. Here, here personality is sweet, kind and gentle girl which is miles away from how she is anywhere else. Eventually a schoolmate Takumi Usui found out her secret, but kept her secret to protect her reputation.
Kyoko Mogami (Skip Beat)
Kyoko Mogami life is full of joy and happiness until the betrayal of Sho, her childhood friend and crush. This is when Kyoko discovers Sho asked her to come to Tokyo. But not because he liked her but because he knew he could use her as a maid. Her angry and vengeful spirits escape her “Pandora’s Box.”
She kept her past hidden as her goal is to get revenge on Sho by entering showbiz. She also ended up joining LME which she believes is the only way to get revenge. Her joyful nature and hardworking combined with a firm determination that kept her going. As she has a kind personality that she will help anyone in need and put others before herself. We are pretty sure there are plenty who can relate to Kyoko which is why she ended up in our list of Most relatable Anime Girls.
She is very smart and clever but can suddenly get dense and naïve when she is angry. As her anger is always at the tip of her nose at the mention of Sho. She joins Love Me Section for she lack “Love” ever since Sho’s betrayal. Even though she lost her ability to love romantically, she still loves her friends, and she firmly believed that romance does not interest her any longer as she considers romance as “a prelude to despair and disaster”. She is very talented in acting as she can really put her act into that character she wants. She has a strong will and determination in her acting career which she puts her heart into her work.
Taiga Aisaka (Toradora)
She is this cute small little girl which makes her look like a child and also one of the girls in our list of Most relatable Anime Girls. She has a tough upbringing by her family, even though she came from a well-to-do family. Because of these family issues, she decides to stay in her own apartment. Only problem being that she does not know any domestic chores nor how to cook. Until she met Ryuuji a schoolmate and a neighbor.
She eventually learned to do her domestic chores with his help. People know her for her negative attitude as she gets upset easily. Especially those who gets in her way. The only friend she loves is her best friend Minori Kusheida and her crush Yusaku Kitamura. Because of her aggressiveness towards others, people call her the “Palmtop Tiger”. She often gets a lot of proposal from boys but she rejects them all.
The rich, spoiled girl with the bossy attitude shows she can do anything if she tries. Also, she learnt how to do domestic chores.
Tomoyo Sakagami (Clannad)
Tomoyo Sakagami is one of the major characters in the anime. She has a tomboyish attitude and somehow her nature is cool, calm, and awesome all at the same time.
While also being physically strong, with great athletic abilities. Tomoya doesn’t speak much, but she always has a lot on her mind. She thinks of ways and means to preserve the cheery blossom trees from being cut down by the development plan. She wants to start a movement to prevent this from happening since these trees are special to her as they mend her “Sakagami” family and her delinquency.
Therefore, she wanted to become a student council president so she could achieve her goal. But there rumors about her misconduct and violent behavior in the past which threaten her campaign. She still solved these problems and won against these former delinquencies from her previous school. Well, with a little help from Tomoya’s and became the school council President.
Shoko Nishimiya (A Silent Voice)
Shoko Nishimiya is a very special girl, where she has disabilities in both her ears. Because of this, she hardly speaks and uses a notebook to communicate with others. She has her hearing aids that help with her hearing, even when the voices of others are not clear.
Even with this disability, she still has a kind heart and forgiving to those who bully her during her childhood in the elementary school. She never complains to anyone about it, instead she apologies to them. This only annoys the bullies, as she doesn’t want to consider herself a special girl who needs to be pitied. She hardly gets angry or cries as she has so much pain that she endures throughout her life. She is a peaceful girl, as she doesn’t want to burden anyone around her.
Her feelings that bottled up from the hatred and discrimination against her almost caused her to commit suicide. Shoya, the childhood bully who also wanted to suicide because of his regrets for bullying her happens to meet her. He wants to make amends with her for what he had done and they ended being friends and saved each other from suicide. She took the opportunity to try her best to make peace with everyone around her, even those who bully her.
